Rescued to die *
The dungeons are impossible to get out of. Everyone knows if you kill a man, by accident or no, you go to Hannak. One
rumor has it that it is a forsaken place, brimming with radiation and viruses in the middle of a jungle. Another wicked story
foretells it to be in the cold north, a place of long winters where water is dumped on prisoners for punishment. Of course,
if you ask any mother or wife in the kingdom of Krah, she'd tell you that it is far beneath the crust of the earth. It is
a labyrinth where all the horrors of the world are dragged into the game of survival. Cold. Beast. Weapon. Virus. They all
lurk in the twisting passages of Hannak. Of course, a wise person listens to their mother. Wives tales might not always be
true, but in this case it is most assuredly that. No one ever comes out of the game. Even if they win, they are thrown into
cages to be shipped to another prison. A prison where they can work coal mines, for only the strongest survive the labyrinth,
and those that are strong will clear out more coal in a day before submitting to the slow death of Minor's Lung. There is
no escape for them. Ever. Not unless royalty intervenes. And why on earth would the princess spring a man who has murdered
someone out of his cage before he suffered the coal mines? She wouldn't. Unless she needed someone to protect her father from
a threat he refuses to acknowledge. Someone strong and agile. Someone who is dead to the world, and can be the kings shadow
where she can not. Someone she can trust because she saved his life. And someone she won't mind losing to an assassin. Because
she doesn't. Care about him that is. Or so she thinks at first.
DO NOT ROB ME OF MY PLOTS!!! THEY ARE MINE
